Maintaining your Individuality

Parenthood

By: Kelly Sutton
When you are pregnant and after you deliver, doctors pay close attention to your mental health. You’re asked questions along the lines of depression, anxiety, and even suicide. Why? Because we are literally stepping into a whole new layer of identity. An identity that is selfless, sacfricial, and super human.

“That’s MY mommy,” my son reminds the world or anyone who tries to challenge my role in his life.

Who are YOU since you’ve become a mom?

NEW: Appreciated Parents of the Month

Parenthood

Starting January 2017, Northwest Mamahood will choose TWO parents a month to APPRECIATE!
NWMH is living out its mission of “appreciating and supporting parenthood in the PNW”, therefore if you are a parent or a caregiver, you may be featured on the blog to recognize your hard work. Additionally, as a token of appreciation, the appreciated parents will choose either Jamba Juice or Starbucks gift card!
Who will it be?

Will NWMH honor YOU next?

*Nominations/recommendations are accepted and considered on a monthly basis. If you’d like to nominate a parent, please contact NWMH through the Facebook page or email: NorthwestMamahood@gmail.com.
