Smiles, smiles, and more smiles. I don’t think there has been a public moment when Aleya has exuded anything less than positive vibes.  Not to say she doesn’t express what’s hard in life, because she does, but her positive, motivated mindset/heart sets her apart in the room. She’s approachable, friendly, loving, and caring. She lights up the room with her smile and genuine energy.  

Aleya Gebhardt is 32 years old and grew up in Bellingham, WA (about 90 minutes from Seattle). Currently, she resides in Seattle and works as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Let’s not minimize her irreplaceable role as a mother and wife. She’s married to her awesomely musical and down-to-earth husband, Joshua; so together they create a power, God loving couple! Aleya and Joshua have to amazing sons Josiah (2 years) and Micah (6 weeks).

Her hobbies include: Being outdoors, walking, hiking, swimming, camping (pre-kids enjoyed backpacking, on hold for the moment 😉 – and birth! (hobby and occupation!)

When asked, “What do you enjoy about parenting,” she stated:

(1) I enjoy watching Josiah discover joy (lately in doing puzzles and making lions happy at the Zoo by “huggin ’em” (the window that is) and singing “Twinkle Twinkle Daddy Lion” which would surely give joy to any lions heart. 😉

(2) Sleeping with Micah is a current favorite, I’m loving this innocent sweet baby phase!

Her biggest supporters are definitely their parents. Aleya states, “We are blessed to have local family who are there for us. My sister, while she lives in NYC, is a huge support as well.”

Parenthood is not easy with a toddler and an infant but Aleya and Joshua handle it with style and grace. They are loving, patient, forgiving, and overall great parents to their boys.
